Research Workshop Conference
AltCR
AltCR is a small, invitational conference designed to fill some of the void left by two-plus years of in-person academic conference cancellations. The goal is to re-ignite some of the enthusiasm for research at the time when things are starting to return to normal–whatever that ends up being.
This will be a highly participatory conference. All attendees will be involved in a series of workshop sessions providing in-depth feedback on several on-going research projects. The hope is that that these workshops will both improve the projects being workshopped, as well as spark collaborations for future research among the participants.
Conference Overview
Time & Place
The conference will take place on Friday, April 15, 2022 on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive for dinners (organized by attendees) with other attendees, as an informal social kick-off to the conference.
Meals & Accommodations
Because of the conference’s small size and with the goal of minimizing costs, the conference will provide no meals, nor has there been a block of rooms reserved at any hotels. Attendees are responsible for their own meals and hotel reservations
Conference Program
The conference will consist of three workshop sessions throughout the day on Friday. Attendees will have the option of selecting one of three projects to be workshopped during each session to best match their expertise and interests.
